Not Another Mobile Phone Blog

One of its kind Mobile Phone Blog, that gives you views and news about mobile phones from India and across the world. I am in love with Nokia and their phones but I also write about other mobile guys. Think Mobile..Think NAMP!!!!

In August, I blogged about Google launching the Gphone soon but, Google proved me wrong by not launching it. I don’t mind Google proving a person wrong is acceptable cause you never know what they will do. Anyways, now news has come in October, that Google will be doing a world wide launch of the Gphone by first or second week of November 2007…..yeah I know this can be a rumor but this time I have some more information on what this Gphone will be like, last time I was not able to write on that in detail.
Industry Experts/Enthusiasts/Technology Leaders are predicting that the most important thing that will drive the Gphone would be ….yes my boy you guessed it right…it will be advertising….the main driver of Google’s awesome search engine.
Here are some snippets from a website, which talked about the Gphone – “It has been predicted that the Gphone offers an ad-supported phone service in which users watch or listen a 10 to 30 second advertisement before making a call. Typically focused at teens and young adults, the ads would be aimed accordingly. Users would also have an advertisement banner across the top of the screen while browsing the Internet. Consumers shall have the choice to have those ads cleared by paying some fees for the service.”
It seems Google wants extend its supremacy in advertising by riding on the rising popularity of mobile advertising. By the way Gphone is everywhere on the web, if you search “Gphone” on Google you will get 4 million results…hmmmm…but now you will think so what you are searching on Google’s own search engine….ok friend the try searching “Google Phone” on Yahoo Search….you will not be disappointed.
