Continuing its partnership with MTV, Sony Ericsson and MTV Europe have come up with this co-branded Sony Ericsson W760 handset. This handset will have colorful outer covers and will come with pre-loaded MTV content. The device is launched for the European market and will first start retailing in Italy. Recently, Sony Ericsson extended its partnership with MTV Europe Music Awards by 2 years. Sony Ericsson is now a days busy targeting music lovers with its Walkman range of handsets. Recently Sony Ericsson came up with the Ducati co-branded handset and now this MTV co-branded handset. But if you ask me, this MTV W760 looks pathetic with its psychedelic color patterns.

You all must have heard the name of Ducati, the Italian company that makes awesome bikes that make girls drool. Sony Ericsson has come up with a co-branded Z770 phone along with Ducati. Sony Ericsson will launch the Z770 Ducati phone in Italy. It is the same old Sony Ericsson Z770 but with Ducati branded covers, themes, screensavers, videos and its own HBH DS-220 based Ducati Bluetooth headset. The phone has the legendary Ducati color scheme, red stripe on black background. The phone will be launched in collaboration with TIM.
This is the first time Ducati has partnered with a mobile phone company, I remember, Transcend coming up with a Ducati branded flash drive. But when it comes to mobile phone companies, few of them have partnered with automobile makers and you have the likes of Asus-Lamborghini and the Motorola-Ferrari phone. Also, no mobile phone company had partnered with a bike maker. This Sony Ericsson-Ducati partnership might trigger a new wave of co-branded mobile phones. It seems Sony Ericsson has some kind of liking for Italian brands, first they came out with a co-branded clamshell mobile along with the Italian Apparel brand, Diesel and now this clamshell is a result of the partnership with Ducati. But why only Italy, why not worldwide????
