Its layoff time again in Nokia Finland, the Finnish mobile phone giant will be laying off 800 employees in Finland set-up starting Jan 2011. The laid off employees will get severance packages from 5 to 15 months based on their ranks and tenure with the company. Nokia will also try and relocate people to its other office around the world. But this layoff is certainly telling us that all is not well at Nokia. Nokia has been losing out heavily on the North American market and even in Europe and Asia its has started to feel the heat from companies like Samsung and HTC who are making their portfolios diverse by opting for different mobile OSs.
