Nokia declared its Q4 2009 results yesterday and to the surprise of many the company's earnings were better than expected. Recently Nokia has been facing tough time in the smart phone market due to increase in popularity of Apple's iPhone and Blackberry. Surprisingly Q4 2009 of Nokia was driven by the strong sales of two of its smart phones, N900 and N97. Nokia sold 127 million mobile devices in Q4 2009 and its market share was 39%, which also has increased as compared to same quarter in 2008. So if you see Nokia's results are something, which the analysts would have never thought of. Demand for its N900 and N97; cost cutting in terms of employee reduction has helped Nokia to maintain its leading position and momentum in the mobile phone race especially smart phones.
