Foxconn might have the financial muscle to buy Nokia's some of the handset manufacturing facilities, if the Finnish giant plans to sell them in future. This is just a speculation that came after Nokia;s marketing head talked about how the company is focusing on mobile Internet solutions and in the long run it might part ways with its core handset manufacturing business. This means that, Nokia wont be shutting down its plants, it will just shift its focus from manufacturing to mobile Internet solutions and may ask big contract manufacturers like Foxconn to handle their manufacturing business units. If this happens, then Nokia might also evaluate other EMS firms like Elcoteq and Jabil. Even though Foxconn is a big EMS player as compared to these two guys, Nokia's and Jabil's relationship is also pretty strong.
