This year's Nokia World Event #NW09 is just around the corner. The event will kick-off in Stuttgart, Germany on the 2nd of September 2009. Last year this event gave us the Nokia N97, which has made widgets and interactive home screen an integral part of the mobile phone ecosystem. Even this year's event is one of the most awaited events of 2009 as we will be seeing lot of cool phones and services from Nokia, the information about most of these things already started leaking/surfacing around the web some three to four weeks back. So lets see what this year's Nokia World Event has in store for us.

The first Device that will be making its debut is the Nokia N97 Mini, yeah its real and it certainly exists. As the name suggests, it is the younger sibling of the Nokia N97. The size is small, it lacks the D-pad but features are nice. The other devices that makes its debut is the Nokia 5900 XpressMusic, big brother of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, with steel border and improved home screen and touch screen experience. There are still second thoughts about whether Nokia will be launching this phone, but lets see. The third attraction of the Event will be the newest Nokia Tablet with voice functionality, the Nokia N900 A.K.A Nokia Rover with latest Maemo OS 5.0. You can read more about the Nokia N900 Tablet here. Lot of mobile phones huh!!! Still more to come, the biggest attraction of the event will be Nokia's newest 3G Netbook, yeah you read it right, Nokia is jumping into the Netbook market game, dominated by players like Acer, Asus, Sony. Called as, Nokia Booklet 3G ( liked the word Booklet instead of Netbook, gives a impressions that it will be smaller than a Netbook), it will be powered by Intel's Atom processor and will have 3G, Wi-Fi and Windows as its OS. Being a Nokia offering, I am sure it will have tight integration with Nokia phones as well as Nokia services like Maps, Ovi, Music Store. So, keep coming back to NAMP, as I will be posting my thoughts on all the event happenings and launches.
