BSNL has chalked out its plans where it will make the 3G network available across 700 cities in India. It will not be covering the Southern region of India as these 700 cities fall in the North and East direction of India. BSNL will be covering Southern region after July'09. This is very funny as BSNL inaugurated it 3G services in Chennai. In Feb BSNL launched its 3G services in 11 countries and the company is aiming for 60 million subscribers by the end of 2009. Thats a very ambitious plan from BSNL's side and 3G being a pretty new technology for we Indians there will be many takers for it. You can check out BSNL's 3G Tariff Plans and decide if you wanna go for this technology, if its comes to your city. I will be waiting for its arrival to Bangalore. And if you guys don't know, mobile Internet is actually booming in India these days and probably this is the best launch time for BSNL's 3G technology. Ericsson will be helping BSNL in rolling out its 3G network by supplying the technology infrastructure.
