In order to penetrate the Indian smart phone scene in a better way, Research In Motion (RIM) has entered into a retail distribution deal with Redington India Ltd. For those who do not know, Redington is one of the well known Supply Chain Solution Providers in IT, Telecom, Consumer Electronics & Home Appliances Industries in India. Its distribution channel is well developed and is suitable for a vast country like India. As a part of the agreement, Redington will make Blackberry models like Curve, Pearl and Bold available in Mumbai, Delhi, NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune and Ahmedabad. With its agreement with Redington, RIM will certainly get some hold on the smart phone market in India and also will enjoy the benefits of Redington's strong supply chain.
