If you are aware of the Nokia’s business then you must be aware of a Nokia’s sister concern, Nokia Growth Partners, it invests in opportunity areas and other companies that can be beneficial to Nokia as a company. Nokia has committed a sum of $150 million in Nokia Growth Partners and it will be hunting for investment opportunities in India and China. For investments, Nokia will be on the look out for firms in these countries that focus on creating advanced mobile applications that will drive the growth of context and location based-services. India and China being huge geographies, location based services have the potential to do good in these countries and may be with these kind of investments Nokia wants to be the first one to cash in on this opportunity. Nokia will also be investing in the areas of mobile payments, music, entertainment and mobile advertising. Payments and mobile advertising is something new for Nokia, but they are real good in mobile music and mobile entertainment.
