Nokia has launched the Phone Recycling Program in New York City. Nokia recently announced their recycling campaign, where they urge consumers not to throw their used batteries, packaging boxes, used mobile handsets and plastic covers in to dustbin, instead they can be easily recycled. Nokia has kept drop-off boxes in and near their stores, where people can drop their used/non-working mobile handsets for recycling. For people who don’t want to recycle they can sell or donate their handsets to the Rethink Program, an eBay and Nokia partnership.
No wonder Nokia wants to become the leading company in Environmental Performance.
