With rumors of Google launching its very much awaited Gphone, I missed on thing. In the second week of October 2007, Google announced that it is acquiring the Finnish mobile community Jaiku for an undisclosed amount. Jaiku, like Google’s Twitter, has emerged as a popular micro-blogging websites that has been a big part of the recent Web 2.0 revolution. Google acquiring Jaiku is clear indicator according to me that Google wants to increase its ad-revenue, but I also think that this has something to do with Google launching the Gphone.
